Time is very amenable, if… Want to read a book or start daily meditation or resume morning jogs or visit an old friend. I should do this weekend ? or may be next ? but where is the time ? At times, time is perceived as a strict, inflexible, rigid, hard task master , always on the clock (!). The common notion is that if we don’t plan well ahead to take up any of these activities, time is going to run us out ! Apparently one of the biggest hurdles in doing something worthwhile is our ability to pre book the time for it.
Remembered an incident with my first team senior way back in 2000. With multiple production issue fixes running, the whole team was busy monitoring jobs, he was busy with his headset on and playing piano.exe !!! At times it was both annoying and intriguing to see someone calm amidst chaos and finding time to nurture his passion, one key at a time ! His famous quote back then was ‘The time to do something is when you really don’t have the time for it ‘ . Though it looked lame initially, it is profound, indeed. Never are we going to ‘find’ time easily , so the key is to ‘do’. For time is very forgiving and accommodative if approached with the right intent ! You start doing and it clears the way ! The key is to start ! Just do, Now !!
